Tilicho Lake Trek| World’s Highest Lake Trek is moderate trekking route which offers thrilling adventure. Tilicho Lake located in the Manang district with an elevation of 4,949(16237 ft). It is regarded as the highest lake in the world. Squeezed in between  Annapurna range and Thorung Peak. As per the mythology, it is believed that the lake has been declared as a  holy spot mentioned in a holy book of Ramayana. This lake is also renowned as a religious site by Hindus. Normally this trek is a pristine trekking route only a few numbers of trekkers visit here. Trekking around these lake provides you a worthwhile memory of a lifetime. Distinguish by its unique climatic variations. Surrounded by the Himalayas which has played a vital role to attract visitors from the inbound and outbound destination.

 

Tilicho Lake Trek|World’s Highest Lake Trek has remained as an ideal package for those trekkers who wish to explore the mighty lake. The starting point of this trek is from Besisahar, a popular hub where thousands of trekkers start their Trek. The Trail passes through gushing Marshyangdi River as well as a variety of landscapes from sub-tropical rainforest to wooden alpine. During the trek, the trail offers you a jaw-dropping view of Manaslu (8,156) and Himalchuli (7893 m) to the east. It is a highly recommended trek where you can indulge yourself in the beauty of nature. Though trail offers to witness panoramic views of the mighty Himalayas as well as the people who are inhabitants of these regions who belong to the different ethnic group. Tilicho Lake Trek|World’s Highest Lake Trek offers some challenging pass of Mesokanta la Pass to Jomsom which is an optional route. Only a few trekkers follow these pass, it requires supplementary equipment with the tented camp.

Day 01
Kathmandu

After arrival in Kathmandu airport we will transfer to hotel.

Day 02
Kathmandu - Beshi Sahar (823m) - Bhulbhule (840 m): 6/8 h.

Early morning drive from Kathmandu to Bhulbhule via Besisahar. It takes 6 hours by private vehicles and eight hours local bus to reach Bhulbhule. Overnight at lodge.

Day 03
Bhulbhule - Chamje (1430 m.) 7/8 h.

Having breakfast at Bhulbhule, we commence our trek to Chamje. Lunch will be served on the way. En route, we would trek along the steep and slippery trail running through paddy fields, trail ascends through the rhododendron forest to Chamje. Overnight at lodge.

Day 04
Chamje - Dharapani (1860 m.) 6/7 h.

We trek from Chamje to Dharapani. The path goes along the river through bamboo groves. We would also cross barley and potato fields. Overnight at lodge.

Day 05
Dharapani - Chame (2670 m.) 5/6 h.

After one hour trek we will be at Bagarchhap where we can visit the Tibetan Monastery Bagarchhap and view Annapurna II and Lamjung Himal. The trail climbs along the mule track through pine and fir forest and then follows the river for a time amongst the higher oak and maple trees. Stay overnight at lodge.

Day 06
Chame - Pisang (3200 m.) 5/6 h.

The trail follows through the river valley, stay at Pisang with panoramic view of Pisang peak and Annapurna 2.Overnight at lodge.

Day 07
Pisang - Manang (3540 m.) 5/6 h.

Walk through the fields of grazing Yak and a wide variety of crops. This large Tibetan Nepali settlement provides good views of Annapurna 2, 3, 4 and Gangapurna. Overnight at lodge

Day 08
Acclimatization at Manang (3540 m.)

This is a rest day to acclimatize to the higher altitude. Time to visit monasteries, take advice from Himalayan Rescue Association and observe the spectacular views from the Himalaya. Overnight at lodge.

Day 09
Manang - Khangsar (3734 m.) 3/4 h.

This day we will walk through straight trail, after walking  3/4  hours we will reach Khangsar. Overnight at lodge

Day 10
Khangsar - Tilicho Base Camp (4150 m.) 5/6 h.

This day we will walk for about 5/6 hours to reach Tilicho Base Camp, this trail is little zigzag, also there are chances of occurring landslide sometimes. Overnight stay at lodge or tented camp/lodge.

Day 11
Tilicho Base Camp – Tilicho Lake(5240 m.) 6/7 h.

This day we will walk towards Tilicho Lake explore around it. The massive lake surrounded by Snow clad peak. The view from here is mind blowing. After the exploration back to the Tilicho Base Camp. Over night at Lodge.

Day 12
Tilicho Base Camp – Yak Kharka (4090 m.) 5/6h.

Early morning we will walk towards Yak Kharka. From where we can see beautiful views of Jomsom village, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Himlung himal, Lamjung himal, impressive Nilgiri himal and many more.  This day we have to walk for about 5/6 hours. Over night at Lodge.

Day 13
Yak Kharka – Thorung Phedi (4441m) 6/7 hours.

This day we will walk towards Thorung Phedi which takes around 6/7 hours. The trail often offers to witness herds of blue mountain. It is final destination before crossing Thorung Pass. Overnight at lodge.

Day 14
Crossing Thorung La (5416 m) to Muktinath (3800 m) 8/9 hours.

We ascend steeply to high camp at 4550 m then along an undulating trail to the flat top of Thorung- La (5416 m). From here, the trail descend steeply down to Muktinath. This is one of the most important pilgrimage sights for Hindus. It is also home for many ethnics Tibetans and Holy Buddhists. Exploration around the pilgrimage site. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 15
Muktinath - Jomsom (1190m) 4/ 5 hours

We descend gently towards Jomsom it will take 4/ 5 hours walk. This day we will walk through  the valley of a high desert bench.Overnight at lodge.

Day 16
Jomsom – Pokhara

Early morning after the breakfast check in into the airport fly back to Pokhara which takes around 35 minutes.In afternoon sight seen around Pokhara Valley. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 17
Pokhara – Kathmandu

There is flight to Kathmandu after every half and hour. We will have enough time to explore around Pokhara.  Afternoon fly to Kathmandu, It will take 25 minutes flight form Pokhara to reach Kathmandu. Otherwise we can drive 5 hours by private vehicle and 7 hours tourist bus to reach Kathmandu, overnight at hotel.

Day 18
Kathmandu

This day we will have a free day for shopping and other activities such as Kathmandu city sightseeing etc. Overnight at hotel.

Day 19
Final departure

Transfer to international airport and fly to your destination.
