Kanchenjunga Trek is an enormous and isolated naturally stunning area with excellent geographical features vary from subtropical to glacier region; This region is encircled with the Himalayan peaks above 7000m and different kinds of flora and fauna. Mt. Kanchenjunga (8586m), the third highest mountain in the world,  is the major attraction which is situated at the Nepal-Sikkim border. The unpredictable Kanchenjunga glacier is the remarkable tribute of the region. The magnificent mountain lies above the rhododendron forests with a river passing from its sides. Kanchenjunga is the pristine trekking trails. The Major attraction of this region is the Pathibhara temple and Limbu cultural trails that give the opportunity to experience the Himalayan culture and lifestyle. Normally the inhabitants of this region are Limbus, Sherpa, Rai, Gurungs, Magars, Newar, and Tamangs. The people of this region are engaged in Cardamon farming, agriculture, animal husbandry. In order to uplift the living standard of people, tourism has also played a vital role in subsistence in the region. Kanchenjunga Region offers a great opportunity to an experienced sacred shrine and alpine meadows, extreme temperature, subtropical forests, rivers fields. In this region, there is a presence of the world’s largest pure rhododendron forest with the utmost number of species on the planet. In order to issue the permit of Kanchenjunga as per the rule of the Government of Nepal, there should be a minimum number of 2 people. The entire trek in Kanchenjunga which encloses the Milke Danda ridge (trekking route exceeding 4/5 days from Basantapur) with North as well as South base camp, the 5 great passes in ‘Mirgin La’ route (approximately 4660m) or ‘Lapsang La’ route (approximately 5110 m) with the shortest distance between the two requires at least 26 to 30 days of trekking. During the trek, the trail offers to witness wild animals like Snow Leopard, Himalayan Black Bear, Musk Deer, Red panda also different kinds of birds species are found in this region.

The major attraction of this trek is picturesque views of Mighty peaks, Glacier Lakes and crossing the pass like Lamite Bhanjyang, Tseram (3750m), Ramche(4360m), Mirgin-La (4663m). Kanchenjunga Trek offers a daring adventure where memories are remarkable.

Day 01
Kathmandu

Arrival Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

Day 02
Kathmandu

Free day in Kathmandu or sightseeing in Kathmandu valley and trek preparation, hotel.

Day 03
Kathmandu –- (Taplejung) Suketar (2420 m)

This day we will fly Kathmandu to Suketar. There are no regular flights to suketar. In case if there are no flight on the schedule date then we will fly to Bhadrapur in morning and then we will drive to Taplejung on private vehicle, it takes around 8 hours. Overnight at hotel/lodge.

Day 04
Taplejung (1820 m) - Mitlung ( m), 5/6 h

This day we will walk for about 5/6 hours through one hours straight trail and 4/5 hours downhill  trial passing the small jungles and small villages to reach Mitlung. Overnight at lodge/tented camp

Day 05
Mitlung - Sekathum (1660m) 6/7h

This day we will walk for about 6/7 hours to reach Sekathum through uphill and downhill trail. On the way we will cross few forests, terraced rice fields, small river streams, we will also see village settlements, few waterfalls and beautiful landscape. Overnight at lodge/tented camp.

Day 06
Sekathum - Amjilasa (2500) 6h

This day we will walk for about 6 hours through mostly uphill and slightly straight trail. On the way we will cross dense bamboo forest, beautiful waterfalls. We will see village settlements of Sherpa communities, most of the people in that area involve in agriculture farming, they grow mostly potato, buck wheat and vegetables. Overnight at lodge/tented camp.

Day 07
Amjilasa - Gyabla (2710 m) 4 h

This day we will walk for about 1 and half hours through narrow and downhill trail till Thyangyan and again walking uphill trail for about 2 and half hours we will reach Gyabla, on the way we will cross dense bamboo and pine forests walking along side Ghunsa Khola (stream). Gyabla is a village having settlement of Sherpa communities. Overnight at lodge/tented camp.

Day 08
Gyabla - Ghunsa (3595 m) 5h

This day we have to walk 3 hours through slightly uphill trail and mostly straight trail to reach Phale villlage. On the way we will cross dense mix forest, meet people of Tibetan origins in Phale village and have a chance to see their unique culture and traditions, if we are lucky we will have a chance to see Red Panda (one of the endangered species). After walking for about 2 hours we will reach Ghunsa. Overnight at lodge/tented camp.

Day 10
Ghunsa - Kambachan (4100 m) 6:30 h

This day we will walk for about 6:30 hours mostly through uphill trail. On the way we will cross pine forest, see beautiful waterfalls and also have a chance to see beautiful views of Khumbakarna Himal, Nupchu Himal, Chang Himal and many other mountains. Overnight at lodge/tented camp.

Day 11
Kambachan - Lhonak (4785 m) 5 h

This day we will walk for about 5 hours through uphill and rocky trail, on the way we will see Kangbachen Himal (7903 m), Yalung Kang (8505 m). Overnight at lodge/tented camp.

Day 12
Lhonak - Kanchanjunga Base Camp (Pang Pema) (5143 m) 3 h

This day we will walk for about 3 hours to reach Kanchanjunga Base Camp (Pang Pema) through rocky and uphill trail. On the way will see massive glaciers, On the right side of our way we will see Mt Kanchanjunga (8586m),Mt Pathivara, Mt. YalungKang, Nepal Peak, Twin Peak, Tent Peak and many others, we can also see wild animals such as blue sheep, few species of bird. Overnight at lodge/tented camp.

Day 13
Kanchanjunga Base Camp (Pang Pema) - Khambachen( 4100m) 6 h

This day we will walk for about 6hours. We will walk through downhill trail and on the way we will see Blue sheep and other animals grazing on the fields. We will also see good views of Mt Kanchanjunga (8586m),Mt Pathivara, Mt. YalungKang, Nepal Peak, Twin Peak, Tent Peak and many others. Overnight at lodge/tented camp.

Day 14
Khambachen - Ghunsa (3595 m) 5 h

This day we will walk 5 hours through straight trail crossing forest of pine trees. On the way we will see big waterfalls, few species of birds, few wild animals and beautiful landscape. Overnight at lodge/tented camp.

Day 15
Ghunsa - Selele Phedi (4000 m) 6h

This day we will walk through uphill trail and cross Selele pass (4290 m) we will walk for about 6 hours to reach Selele Phedi . On the way we will see good views of Mt. Makalu, Mt Barunche and many other mountains. Overnight at lodge/tented camp.

Day 16
Selele Phedi - Tseram (3870 m) 7h

This day we have to walk for about 7 hours crossing three passes Selele Pass (4440 m), Mirgin La Pass (4480 m) and Sinelapche Pass (4440 m). Upto Selele Pass we have to walk though uphill trail and afterwards through straight trail. On the way between Mirgin La Pass & Tseram we will see Talung Peak, Kabru peak, Kabru North, Kabru south, Sarphru center, we will also cross small pine forest. Overnight at lodge/tented camp.

Day 17
Tseram - Ramche (4580 m) 5 h

This day we will walk for about 5 hours, we will walk alongside of glacier and also see good views of Mt. Kumbhakarna, Mt. Yalungkang, Kanchenjunga south. Overnight at local lodge/tented camp.

Day 18
Ramche - Yalung Base Camp (5400 m) - Ramche (4880 m) 7 :30 h

This day we will walk for about 7:30 hours. Walking through uphill and downhill trail to Yalung Base Camp and return to Ramche. Overnight at local lodge/tented camp.

Day 19
Ramche - Tortang (2995 m) 7 h

This day we will walk for about 7 hours to reach Tortang. We will walk through forest and along side of Simbuwa khola. Overnight at local lodge/tented camp.

Day 20
Tortang - Sherpa Gaun 5:30 h

This day we will walk through forests for about 5 hours, crossing Lamite and Bheupi Pass to reach Sherpa Gaun. Overnight at local lodge/tented camp.

Day 21
Sherpa Gaun - Phumpe 6 h

This day we will walk for about 6 hours walking through uphill and down trail crossing forests. Overnight at local lodge/tented camp.

Day 22
Ponpe - Khesewa (2120 m) 6 h

This day we will walk for about 6 hours walking through uphill and down trail crossing forests. Overnight at local lodge/tented camp.

Day 23
Khesewa - Lali Kharka (2276 m) 6 h

This day we will walk for about 6 hours through up hill and downhill trail crossing rhododendron and mix forests. Overnight at local lodge/tented camp.

Day 24
Lali Kharka - Taplejung (1780 m) 4:30 h

This day we will walk for about 4:30 hours. We will walk through slightly uphill trail till deurali, from Deurali slightly downhill to reach Suketar (Taplejung). Overnight at lodge/hotel.

Day 25
Taplejung (Suketar) – Kathmandu

If  we get the flight on the schedule date of our return date then we will fly directly to Kathmandu.  If we are not able to get the flight we will drive by private vehicle to Bhadrapur and we will fly back to Kathmandu on the same day evening or next day morning. Overnight at hotel.

Day 26
Kathmandu

Free day in Kathmandu, you are free for shopping, sightseeing, relax, hotel.

Day 27
(Kathmandu) final departure day

Transfer to international airport and fly to your destination.
