Dolpa Region is a unique destination which is influenced by shamanistic practices. Dolpa Region has remained as to the last territory of Tibetan culture in Nepal. It has a significant role in terms of culturally distinct culture in these entire regions. Dolpa Region was opened to trekkers since mid- 1989 which is located inside the Shey-Phoksundo National Park in midwestern. Situated at the base of Crystal Mountain behind the Dhaulagiri massif. The major attraction of the region is the Bluish water of the Phoksundo Lake and gompas in every settlement, with some of the oldest monasteries like Saldang, Dho, Chharka and Bhijer which are more than 700 years old. During the trekking in Dolpa region offers opportunities to visit ancient monasteries and village, high passes, beautiful lakes and also to experience wildlife inhabiting the region. Normally Wild animals like Blue Sheep, Jackal, Wolf and Snow Leopard are found here. Dolpa Trek is very strenuous trek involving different passes. The best time to trek here at the end of the monsoon season. The trail passes through the forest of Juniper and Pine. It is the Enchanting destination in which admire the beauty of Dolpa Region.

Dolpa Region is renowned as a pristine land where trekking can be done beyond rain shadow. The trail passes through ancient settlement allows witnessing the nomadic people lifestyle and their norms and tradition which still unspoiled. Trekking in this pristine route offers you jaw-dropping views of Kanjiroba peak, Phoksundo Lake (alpine freshwater lake) and Mighty Dhaulagiri (8167 meters). Entire areas of this region is a unique combination of nature’s beauty. It is also a homeland to numerous wildlife including the snow leopard, blue sheep, musk deer, Himalayan Thar, and various flora. Hence this Region is more naturally and culturally attractive destination, which is engaged with high passes, rare flora and fauna as well as enclave Tibetan culture. This trek is most suitable to those adventure junkies who are physically and mentally fit to face off against a challenge of the remote area and Himalayan wilderness.

Day 01
Kathamndu

Arrival and transfer to hotel

Day 02
Kathmandu

Free for Kathmandu and permit preparation day.

Day 03
Fly/drive to Nepalgunj

Fly from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj, we will reach after 1 hour in Nepalgunj, Overnight at hotel in Nepalgunj.

Day 04
Fly - Juphal (2440 m) - trek - Dunai (2150 m)

This day in the morning we will fly to Juphal, after 45 minutes we will reach  Juphal, and we will start our trek to Dunai, after 3/4 hours walk we will reach Dunai. Overnight at lodge.

Day 05
Dunai - Chekpa

This day we will walk for about 6 hours to reach Chekpa, crossing jungles and walking Phoksundo Khola riverside.

Day 06
Chekpa - Ringmo

This day we will walk for about 7 hours through uphill trail, crossing jungles and rivers.

Day 07
Ringmo - Bagala Phedi

This day we will walk for about 6 and half hours through uphill and downhill trails, crossing Phoksundo Khola. On the way we will see Mt. Kanjirowa. Overnight camp at Bagala Phedi.

Day 08
Bagala Phedi - Gandala Phedi (4400 m)

This day we will walk for about 7 hours through uphill and downhill trail through mostly grasslands, we will see yaks and sheep grazing on the grasslands. Overnight camp at Gandala Phedi.

Day 09
Gandala Phedi - Shy Gompa

This day we will walk for about 7 hours crossing Gandala pass through uphill and downhill trail, crossing grasslands, on the way we will see Tangtung lake and Mt. Kanjirowa. Overnight camp at Shey Gompa.

Day 10
Rest day in Shy Gompa

This day we will explore around Shey Gompa, we will visit Shey Gompa cave.

Day 11
Shy Gompa - Namagung

This day we will walk for about 7 hours on the way we will cross Sela La pass (5094 m) walking through uphill and downhill trails. Overnight camp at Namagung.

Day 12
Namagung - Saldang (3900 m)

This day we will walk for about 7 hours through mostly uphill and downhill trail, on the way crossing grasslands, desert like terrains. Overnight  camp at Saldang

Day 13
Saldang - Simengaon (3850 m)

This day we will walk for about 6 and half hours through mostly straight trail, crossing small river streams. Overnight camp at Simengaon.

Day 14
Simengaon - Tinjegaon (4110 m)

This day we will walk for about 7 hours through uphill and downhill trails, on the way we will cross small river streams, grasslands and desert like terrain.  Overnight camp at Tinjegaon.

Day 15
Tinjegaon - Keheing Khola (4110 m)

This day we will walk for about 7 hours through uphill and downhill trails, on the way will come across grasslands, desert like terrains. Overnight  camp at Keheing Khola.

Day 16
Keheing Khola - Charka

This day we will walk for about 7 hours crossing Charka & Mallan pass (4830 m), walking through desert like terrain we will reach Charka. Overnight camp at Charka.

Day 17
Charka - Sangdak (4140 m)

This day we will walk for about 7 hours through uphill and downhill trail, on the way we will see mountains such as Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri.

Day 18
Sangdak - Yak Kharka (3180 m)

This day we will walk for about 7 hours through uphill and downhill trail, crossing small river streams, desert like terrain, grasslands. Overnight camp at Yak Kharka.

Day 19
Yak Kharka – Kagbeni - Jomsom (2710 m)

This day we will walk for about 6 hours to reach Kagbeni, and walk for about 8 hours to reach Jomsom.

Day 20
Jomsom - Pokhara

Early morning we fly Jomsom to Pokhara after 20 minutes flight we will reach Pokhara and and transfer to hotel.

Pokhara - Kathamndu
