Ghorepani Poonhill Trek is regarded as a  best panoramic viewpoint trek to watch a sunrise over stunning mountain vistas. This trek allows to see 360degree views of Snowclad peaks and it has remained as a tempting trekking destination.  Normally this trek is moderate because it doesn’t take you right in among the mountains. The Highlights of this trek is to hike early morning up to Poonhill to witness one of the spectacular sunrise views over mighty peaks. Normally the trails are wide and well maintained and the lodges are large in number and comfortable. It is also known as small Annapurna Circuit because it is a low altitude trek and thus there is no risk of Acute Mountain Sickness, The trail passes through rhododendron forest with varieties of flora and fauna. Ghorepani Poonhill Trek has remained as ancient traditional trade routes used by locals to trade with Tibetans. The trail offers you to explore local culture and traditions in Ghandruk villages. This trekking offers you a magnificent view of Mount Machapuchare (6993m), Annapurna South (7219m), Tukuche Peak (6920m) and Dhaulagiri (8167m). The major attraction of this trek is sunrise over a snow-capped peak. The 275m long trail offers worthwhile the experience of trekking passing through Gurung, Magar ethnic villages and beautiful perspectives of the Himalayas. Ghorepani is encircled with Annapurna Conservation Area. It allows witnessing some glimpse of birds and wild animals on the Trail.

Day 01
Arrival in Kathmandu

After your arrival transfer to hotel. Briefing about preparation of trek.

Day 02
Kathmandu – Pokhara (820m)

Early morning drive to Pokhara by flight it takes about half an hour and by bus 6/7 hours drive. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 03
Pokhara – Nayapul - Hille (1475 m)

After breakfast drive to Nayapul which takes approximately around one and half hours drive from Pokhara, From Nayapul we have to walk for about four hours to reach Hille. On the way we can see beautiful view of picturesque terraced field around river. Overnight at Lodge

Day 04
Hille - Ghorepani (2750m) 6/ 7 hrs

After having breakfast we will start trek to reach Ulleri crossing suspension bridge as well as 2000 stones steps. Approximately it takes two hours walking through the steps. On the way towards Ghorepani we will see stunning views of Mt. Machhapuchre if weather permit. After having lunch on the way we will walk towards Ghorepani. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 05
Ghorepani – Poon Hill (3200m) - Tadapani (2590m) 6/7 hrs

Early morning trek to Poon Hill (3200 m) which is famous for Sunrise hill station, from where  can have 360 view panoramic view including Dhaulagiri, Tukuche peak and Annapurna range & back to Ghorepani after breakfast trek to Tadapani (2590 m). On the way we can see beautiful glimpse of mountains such as Annapurna south, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna and others. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 06
Tadapani – Jhinu Danda (1780m) 5/6 hours

This day we will walk descend towards Jhinu Danda, it takes 5/6 hours.On the way we will pass through Chhomrong village and we can see stunning view of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre, after Lunch  then we walk onwards to reach Jhinudanda. It takes approximately 1 hours walk to be in  JhinuDanda. Which is famous for natural hot spring. Overnight at lodge

Day 07
Jhinu Danda – Pothana (1900m) 6/7 hours

This day we will walk towards Pothana. After crossing Suspension bridge around Modi Khola we will reach Landruk village,and follow the trail that leads towards Tolka, From Tolkha we will ascend towards Bhickok deurali, descend towards Pothana. Overnight at lodge

Day 08
Pothana – Phedi – Pokhara

After walking 3 hours from Pothana we will reach Phedi. On the way to Phedi we can see some  parts of Mount Annapurna range and Gurung village. After one hours drive from Phedi in taxi or car we will reach Pokhara. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 09
Pokhara - Kathmandu

After breakfast fly/drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu. Overnight at Hotel.
