Pisang Peak Climbing

Pisang Peak climbing a (6092m) is one of the easier climbing peaks in compare to other trekking peaks in Annapurna Region.  It is regarded as smallest peaks which don’t need high climbing skills. People with normal mountaineers skill can easily climb. It was climbed by a German Expedition in 1955 who made a first successful attempt. Since it has been more popular and every year a numerous number of climbers are increasing day. Pisang Peak has the formation of its shape like a pyramid in the summit and has stood up above the valley of Pisang. Pisang Peak located on the way to the highest pass of the world “Thorung La Pass” which offers exhilarating memories for exploration. Journey to Pisang Peak climbing start from popular trekking trail of Annapurna circuit Trek which follows the trail through Besisahar starting point of Annapurna Circuit Trek. The trail allows witnessing the beauty of flora, fauna along with mesmerizing views of the Annapurna I, II, IV, III, Gangapurna, Manaslu, Lamjung Himal and other peaks.

High camp is set up at (5,400m) on the South-West Ridge. Hence the ridges pass through the snow slope which is considered as quite steep and difficult to reach the summit of Pisang Peak. But still, it is renowned as an easy peak to climb. The summit of Pisang peak offers jaw-dropping views of the Annapurna Range, Tilicho Peak, Annapurna II, and IV and Gangapurna. After successful completion of peak climbing the descent is made through the same trail and follow a route to Manang Valley and move forward up to Thorung Phedi, cross a Thorung La pass and descent towards Muktinath. Next, we will descent towards Jomsom and catch a 20 minutes flight back to Pokhara.

DAY 1
ARRIVAL

Arrival in Kathmandu airport and Hotel transfer.

DAY 2
FREE DAY IN KATHMANDU

On this day we will meet with our expedition members and the leader, conduct initial briefing and preparations and we will have an opportunity to do last minute shopping in Kathmandu.

DAY 3
KATHMANDU - BESISAHAR

After the 7hrs scenic drive from Kathmandu to Besi Sahar (823m). On the way we can try some local cuisine of typical Nepali food. Overnight at teahouse or camping.

DAY 4
BESISAHAR - BAHUNDABDA

After breakfast we trek  6hrs from Besi Sahar to reach Bahundanda (1305m); The trail offers you to catch glimpses of Manaslu. Overnight at teahouse accommodation or camping.

DAY 5 - 6
BAHUNDANDA – CHYAMCHE

The trail leads approximately 6 hours to reach Chyamche. The trail passes through Marsyangdi River Valley. Overnight at teahouse accommodation or camping.

DAY 7
DHARAPANI - CHAME

It takes 6hrs walk from Dharapani to reach Chame (2670m). Overnight at teahouse accommodation or camping.

DAY 8
CHAME - PISANG

We trek 5hrs from Chame to Pisang (3100m). Overnight at teahouse accommodation or camping.

DAY 9
ACCLIMATIZATION DAY

On this day preparation of climbing equipment and a short hike to explore around. Overnight at teahouse accommodation or camping.

DAY 10
PISANG – PISANG PEAK

We trek 5hrs Upper Pisang to Pisang Peak Base Camp (4573m). Overnight at tented camp

DAY 11
PISANG PEAK BASE CAMP ¬– HIGH CAMP

We trek 6hrs from Pisang Peak Base Camp to High Camp (5030m); camping.

DAY 12
HIGH CAMP - SUMMIT

Normally if participants feels well or weather permit,we are going to attempt the summit(6091m). Overnight at tented camp.

DAY 13
HIGH CAMP - SUMMIT

This is our scheduled summit day; from the summit we will return to the Base Camp; camping.

DAY 14
PISANG PEAK BASE CAMP - MANANG

We trek from Pisang Peak Base Camp to Manang (3540m.); overnight at teahouse or camping.

DAY 15
MANANG – THORONG PHEDI

Trek 6hrs from Manang, to Thorong Phedi (4450m). Overnight at teahouse or camping.

DAY 16
THORUNG PHEDI - MUKTINATH

After breakfast early in the morning we will pass Thorong-La pass (5,416m) which takes around 7 hours to reach from Muktinath. Overnight at teahouse or camping.

DAY 17
MUKTINATH - JOMSOM

After exploring around Muktinath temple we will follow the trail which leads to Jomsom via Kagbeni(2895m). Overnight at teahouse or camping.

DAY 18
JOMSOM - POKHARA

We take 20mins flight from Jomsom to Pokhara; hotel accommodation.

DAY 19
POKHARA - KATHMANDU

After a 7hrs scenic drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu or  25mins flight available from Pokhara we will reach Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 20
FREE DAY IN KATHMANDU

Full Day sightseeing in Kathmandu valley (DurbarSquare, Swoyambhunath, Boudhanath & Pashupatinath) and Nepalese cultural program with farewell dinner in the evening.

DAY 21
FINAL DEPARTURE

Transfer to the airport for final departure, or alternative join other activity
